1. Can I change the ear pads on my A-Spire Wireless headset?
Yes, the A-Spire Wireless gaming headset features interchangeable ear pads. You can buy seperate ear pads here. If you have issues with your ear pads, please reach out to us at support@acezone.io

2. Why can I hear myself when using the A-Spire Wireless?
You are not delusional - your PC is not broken. This is an intended feature; the technical name is 'Sidetone'.

When your ears are blocked (wearing a headset) your own voice perception changes drastically. This makes you change the level of your voice; and the change is very different from user to user. Some start to whisper [the mic has a hard time picking up speech], others start shouting [the neighbours will complain].

Sidetone is applied to aid your own voice perception and thereby help you speak at the right level.

On the A-Blaze, A-Spire Wireless and A-Rise it's possible to disable sidetone in the mobile app.

3. My dongle for A-Spire Wireless is not connecting
Dongle and headset is not connecting? The connection is easily restored in 6 steps.

1. Disconnect dongle from computer.
2. Power on headset.
3. Set headset in pairing mode: Hold ANC button until LEDs are flashing blue and red.
4. Connect dongle to computer.
5. Set the dongle in pairing mode: Hold the dongle button until the LED turns purple.
a. If the dongle LED starts flashing Red and Blue proceed to next step.
b. If the dongle LED turns white, unplug and reconnect dongle. LED wil flash Red and Blue.
6. Wait for devices to reconnect automatically.

NOTE: The connection can be lost if the dongle pairing has been activated by accident (holding the dongle button).

4. I am experiencing dongle interference on A-Spire Wireless
While using the dongle, make sure that your phone or other bluetooth connected devices are not playing audio. Even though you cannot hear the audio from the signals sent from the secondary device it will interfere with the dongle signal.

5. ‘Play’ button on headset is not working when using the dongle with A-Spire Wireless
When pressing the play/pause button on the headset a command is sent to the computer via the dongle. If the audio is paused for a while (15 seconds) the connection is shut down to save power. The audio can be started again by pressing play on the computer.

6. Can I play audio from my A-Spire Wireless dongle and smartphone at the same time?
No, the A-Spire Wireless headset is optimised for one audio stream at a time. This is chosen to have the best possible dongle audio quality.

7. Can I charge while using the A-Spire Wireless dongle for audio?
Yes, by using an adapter/phone charger for charging. Plugging USB into a computer will activate ‘Do not disturb’ and audio stream will go through USB cable and dongle connection will stop until USB is disconnected from computer.

8. How do I pair my AceZone A-Spire Wireless headset?
USB-C Dongle Pairing:

Your AceZone wireless headset will automatically pair with the USB-C dongle when it’s inserted into your chosen device.

If the headset doesn’t pair automatically, hold the ANC button on your headset for 4 seconds, then plug the dongle into your device.

To unpair the dongle, hold the button on the dongle for 4 seconds.

Bluetooth Pairing:

To pair via Bluetooth, press and hold the ANC button on your headset for 4 seconds until it enters pairing mode.

Then connect to the headset through the Bluetooth menu on your preferred device.

9. How do I factory reset the A-Spire Wireless headset?
To perform a factory reset on the A-Spire Wireless:

1. Turn the headset off.
2. Press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds.
3. You’ll hear a voice prompt saying that a factory reset has been made.

Please note that this will delete all saved Bluetooth connections from your headset, including your phone/PC and dongle. You should also delete the headset from your phone/PC's saved devices, and delete it from the AceZone app before pairing again.

You need to re-pair the headset and the dongle after a factory reset:
 

1. Plug the dongle into your PC.
2. Reset the dongle by holding down the button until the LED turns purple.
3. Remove the dongle.
4. Turn your headset on and make sure no cables are connected.
5. Hold the Noise Cancelling mode button (right next to the power button) for 4 seconds to enable pairing mode.
6. Plug the dongle back into your PC. The LED will blink blue/red.
7. Pairing will happen automatically. You’ll hear a voice prompt saying “Dongle connected”. The dongle LED will turn blue when the pairing is done.

10. How do I update the firmware on the A-Spire Wireless headset?
To update your A-Spire Wireless headset search for AceZone Firmware Updater on the Microsoft Store (direct link), and download the app.

To update the headset:

1. Make sure your headset is powered on, and that it is not connected to any Bluetooth devices (turn off Bluetooth on any devices the headset might be connected to).
2. Disconnect your USB-C dongle if it is connected to your PC.
3. Connect your headset via the USB-C cable to your PC.
4. Open the Firmware Updater app.
5. Select A-Spire Wireless
6. Click Update - wait for the update to finish before closing the firmware updater.

To update the dongle:

1. Disconnect the headset from your PC.
2. Connect the dongle to your PC.
3. Open the Firmware Updater app.
4. Select Dongle from the dropdown menu and click Update.
5. If your dongle’s firmware version is below 2.11:
6. Towards the end of the update, a window will appear asking you to disconnect the dongle, click OK and click “Yes” when the Windows permission window appears.
7. If your dongle is on version 2.11 or above:
8.  No additional steps are needed.
9. Wait for the update to finish before closing the firmware updater.
