The technology

behind acezone

AceZone founders have years of experience in the professional esports and audio industry. The combined knowledge and expertise went into creating the A-Live headset, which is now an industry standard for live esports events, and used by many top tier organizers such as PGL, ESL, BLAST and more, in games such as Counter-Strike, Apex Legends, Rainbow 6, Dota II and Rocket League.

Later on, AceZone went on to create the A-Rise, the A-Spire, the A-Spire Wireless and the A-Blaze gaming headsets aimed at consumers. The technology needed to create headsets that offer gamers the benefits that AceZone products do was carefully designed through years of testing and development.

ADVANCED HYBRID

active noise cancelling

AceZone headsets features an industry first and only technology in Advanced Hybrid ANC developed for competitive gaming granting FPS gamers the fastest in-game response time, while having best in class noise canceling compared to any other gaming headset on the market.

active noise cancellation

a brief history lesson

1932: Todays ANC, also known as active noise cancellation, was original invented by Paul Lueg in Germany in 1932, at that time known as active noise control. Two years later, Paul patented the idea but lacked the equipment to make products commercially viable.

1950: In the 1950s, Harry Olsen demonstrated how an active noise control system could reduce the noise level at the passenger position in cars. While it worked, it wasn't perfect and even small head position changes would lead to significant changes in noise perceived.

1970: In the 1970s, 80s and 90s active noise control developments accelerated rapidly, with the first public civilian use of an active noise reduction system for pilots being used by Dick Rutan and Jeana Yeager in their around-the-world flight in 1986.

2000: Bose launches the first consumer ANC headset, while ANC headsets in general see a widespread use in the military and civil aviation industry.

2021 NEW: AceZone launches the first Advanced Hybrid ANC designed for gaming.

In-game sound

Multiple EQ modes for every AceZone headset, designed to highlight important in-game sounds and details to completely immerse you in gaming and music.

Tritech Solution

Team communication

Speech Enhancer Microphones and an Ambient Noise & Speech Suppression algorithm filter out all external noise, leaving you with crystal clear team communication and no need for yelling.

Focus Endurance

Passive damping and Active Ambient Noise Cancellation works together with our algorithm to help prevent ear fatigue and focus loss, so you can train and play better, longer.

Tuned for

advantage

AceZone’s default EQ profile is purpose-built for competitive gaming - not for boosted bass or a quick “wow” effect. Excessive low frequencies can mask crucial audio details, making it harder to distinguish footsteps, gunfire, or utility sounds.

By keeping the EQ balanced, our headsets preserve positional accuracy and detail across the entire frequency range. This gives players a clearer sense of where every sound is coming from - a key advantage in competitive play. Simply put, if you want better directional sound and detail, you don’t want heavy bass. And if you prefer a different sound profile, you can easily adjust it in the AceZone App.

The

acezone app

With the AceZone Mobile App, you can personalize the sound and controls of your A-Blaze, A-Spire, A-Spire Wireless, and A-Rise headsets - and elevate your performance with game-specific sound signatures. The app allows you to update and customize your headset to fit your exact preferences.

Firmware updating via the app is available for A-Blaze, A-Spire, and A-Spire Wireless.

App features vary by model. To see exactly what’s available for your headset, check the AceZone Lineup Breakdown under App Features at the bottom of this page.

Features in the app:

  • Sleep timer
  • Predefined EQs for music and gaming
  • Specific EQ presets for games like CS2, Valorant, Apex Legends, and more
  • Pro players’ own EQ profiles
  • Custom 8-band EQ control
  • Sidetone control
  • Transparency control
  • ANC aggressiveness adjustment
  • Glasses ANC mode for players who wear glasses
  • Custom 5-band EQ for microphone
  • Outdoor mode
  • Blast Guard that reduces the loudness of gunshots
  • Footstep Enhancer that increases the clarity of footsteps in-game

Sidetone

feature

All AceZone headsets feature sidetone - a crucial function designed to give you natural voice feedback during gameplay. With the intense level of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) in every AceZone headset, sidetone ensures that your own voice always sounds clear and balanced, no matter how loud the environment is.

By feeding a controlled amount of your microphone input back into your ears, sidetone prevents the isolated, “closed-off” feeling often caused by strong ANC. The result is a more comfortable and natural communication experience - whether you’re in a tournament booth or playing from home.

You can adjust or remove the sidetone feature from the AceZone App on A-Blaze, A-Spire Wireless, and A-Rise.

For the regular A-Spire, you need to adjust it from the Windows settings - see our guide [here].

Preventing brain fatigue

and hearing loss

The human brain is constantly working to analyze and interpret the audio signals it receives. The brain works hard to sort through the information, so we humans can focus on the things we want to listen to, filtering out the audio we don't need to focus on. The more noise around you, the harder your brain has to work. AceZone headsets make this process easier for the brain by lowering the amount of noise, thus minimizing the workload for the brain. The headsets also lower the non-critical noises of the game you’re playing, while keeping the critical sounds clear and audible.

Imagine you’re playing an FPS game with explosions going off and enemies running around in close proximity to you. AceZone headsets will lower the explosion noise so your brain can pay more attention to the sound of the footsteps, as this type of noise contains more information that can determine the outcome of a match. This also helps prevent hearing loss as you won’t have to turn up your audio to damaging levels in order to get the audio information you want.

It has taken hard work with years of research, testing and feedback to reach this level. In order to achieve this, we have worked with professional players to determine which in-game sounds are more important than others. To this day, we still gather new information, test and develop our products to create carefully crafted EQs to accommodate as many game titles as possible.

crucial audio information

faster than competitors

The combination of technology, features and design gives players using AceZone headsets incredible in-game advantages. We’ve measured how AceZone products perform against major competition headsets and the result is clear: if you’re using an AceZone headset, you will hear crucial in-game audio cues faster than if using a competing headset.

This advantage becomes more apparent depending on the sound environment you’re in - the more noise around you, the more noticeable. This is made possible by the unique combination of passive and active noise cancelling design of all AceZone headsets.

AceZone headsets also use a directional flip-to-mute ultra noise cancelling microphone, which is designed to pick up only the voice of the player wearing it, ignoring ambient noise. This enables players to only focus on what their teammates are saying, since any outside noise will not make its way into the voice comms.
